Feeling Testy?

Thanks in large part to a tremendous community effort during the recent live bug-squashing session, a second release candidate is now available for Symphony 2.0.8. Help us continue our push to make this version as rock-hard as Alistair's abs by installing it (or upgrading existing non-production installations), and then promptly doing your damnedest to break it...

Extension Compatibility

We also need to make a big push to get extensions updated for 2.0.8. So if you're an extension developer, we've got a little treat for you, this one courtesy of the oh-so-splendiferous Nicholas Dunn. Nick's whipped up an awesome extension compatibility matrix that shows you, at a glance, which versions of Symphony your extensions are compatible with. Wild round of applause. So go get those extensions updated! First person to get all of their extensions compatible with 2.0.8 will get a copy of Allen's forthcoming swimsuit calendar! Awkward silence. Crickets chirping.

Comments

Awesome! Thanks y’all! Also, thanks Nick for the extension compatibility matrix!

I take it the Matrix doesn’t auto-update? I just updated my extension’s page to say it’s compatible with 2.0.8.

@Doug: I’d guess there is a delay due to some caching.

@czheng: I updated a project to 2.0.8RC2 yesterday and it seems to work perfectly beside the last issues in the bug tracker.

The DS for the page is heavy so it is cached, although I forget for how long. It should update itself eventually.

I just installed the RC2 from s208RC2.zip and I get the admin.js javascript error on line 46 that was solved in the patched version of 2.0.7.

Can I have my calendar ;)

It looks that update.php does not update

the version number in config.php.

Note: Craig, remove this comment and merge with the above if possible.

Best log any bugs on the issue tracker in the usual way so they’re not missed :)

Holy cow, do I see an Issue Tracker with zero open items?
