Hi there! I don't understand this: does Symphony run on a windows server?

Let me know please!

Yes it does! There are Windows binaries for Apache, PHP and MySQL which you can download from the vendor websites.

Ok thanks! :) And.. Maybe it's a silly request, but.. I have no alternatives.. Is it possible to keep an installation of symphony on a server, and keep the database to another one? Are there extensions to do this?

I think it will reduce speed of the website but is it possible to do?

There is no problem in separating the database server from the web server. Just make sure you configure MySQL to accept remote connections.

Thanks! I'm trying to do this, but it seems it doesn't connect to the database. in my config file, in 'host' what I have to insert? Ip, hostname, or what?

Thanks.

IP or valid dns hostname should both work. However, you should make sure that your MySQL server accepts the remote connection. This concerns both the bind settings of my.cnf and the permissions of the user that tries to connect to the database (host restriction).
