I am moving from a regular host to AWS and am having some problems. Specifically, I am using Elastic Beanstalk's PHP environment to deploy my Symphony application.

  1. Managing different config.php files

I asked this question previously, and @creativedutchmen mentioned that he had multiple manifest directories and symlinked to each one. I don't see how this can be done?? Once I do git aws.push I cannot modify the files, so how can I symlink on AWS?

  1. Submodules

AFAIK, AWS, or at least Elastic Beanstalk, does not support git submodules. Correct me if I'm wrong. I guess the only way to do deploy would be to un-submodule each of my extensions? Then I would have to manually update every extension. If anyone has a solution, please let me know!
