@Brock wow, cheers, looks really good!

Seems to work in Symphony 2.3.4 too (since 2.4 is now stated as minimum requirement).

Just trying this out on a project now.

Great text editor, and thank you for taking the time to build it into a Symphony extension!

Will definitely be using it on our agencies new site, I think any user base that's a tad more technically minded would really appreciate this over the standard WYSIWYG editors.

this is great extension, man.

i hope you'll include underline, and at least consider stuff like strikethrough, and superscript.

@diomed I don't believe any of those are supported by markdown?

oh, i see. isn't this something that markdown should support, tho? it's usual to see stuff like that on web pages today.

Markdown is an intentionally lean styling syntax - it's not HTML :)

Although some have extended it. GitHub Flavoured Markdown supports strikethrough, for example. And of course with the Symphony markdown extension you get Markdown Extra etc.

But that's the beauty of markdown - often bolding some text or creating a basic bullet list is all you want your users to do. If you want full WYSIWYG editing capabilities then there are options for that.

Did anyone manage to get spell check to work?
