Is anyone in the community developing Symphony sites that output static .html files?

I know there is an experimental Site Site Exporter extension that Nick Dunn first introduced a couple of years ago, but it was only experimental. It's now in the Symphonists repository, but there has been no development on it.

If possible, would y'all mind sharing how you would go about outputting static .html files?

Thanks for your time.

How static do you mean? Presumably this could be done with Apache rewrites? Or do you mean that you actually want to create HTML files which are saved to the server?

Create HTML files which are saved to the server. Or Create Static XML files which are saved to the server.

Maybe you could use the CacheLite extension as a starting point?

I've forgotten exactly how PHP's CacheLite works, but perhaps you could take the contents of the cache files and save it into HTML files.
