Does anyone have any control over this other than Nick Dunn? I've reached out to him to bump up the compatibility version but haven't heard back, and it hasn't been done.

Anyone that knows him think they could get the source code from him so someone actually still involved in the community can maintain it?

GitHub login doesn't work for me either, and the lint tool isn't up-to-date with the documentation.
