I'm using Form controls quite extensively these days and have a backend section for building forms which the client has access to create new ones.

In the process of building this form structure on the frontend I've found the lack of access to a 'hidden' value to be frustrating. i.e. make the field hidden on the front end.. could be just a date I need or some captured piece of data that needs to be there but not necessarily visible to the user.

In order to get this hidden attribute I was wondering if adding a 'hidden on frontend' checkbox in the section editor for the input field.

Is it best to append this code to the inputfield code or build a new extension which 'extends' the InputField type?

Or can anyone think of a better approach to achieving this output?
