Hello, hoping somebody can shed some light on this,

I'm about to make the update from MySQL 5.1 to 5.5 on my VPS in order to run the latest version of symphony, the issue is I have many active older versions of symphony on the server that are not going to be updated at present.

Does anyone know if making the jump to MySQL 5.5 will have any negative repercussions on my older installs?

Many thanks.

Not that I know of, how old is the oldest version you think you'll be migrating?

My suggestion would be to set that up on a local /test environment and give it a run but I don't think there would be issues with upgrading MySQL, they didn't remove any of the core functionality which Symphony uses.

Thanks for the reply gunglien, the oldest version on there is 2.3,

Think I will go ahead and make the update then, if any issues do occur I will post them up.

thanks again.
