Hi Guys, I’m wondering what are the sym_entries_data tables in the db for, on what basis are they created? I often see them in number, but many of them are empty.

Thanks!

The numbers in the table names are the IDs of your fields. Of course, some fields are emtpy for certain entries, so there is no need to worry about that.

  • sym_sections has all the sections and section IDs
  • sym_fields has all the fields/field IDs and their section IDs
  • sym_entries has all the entry IDs
  • sym_data_123 has the data for field ID 123 (for all entries)

You will get the idea if you start with sym_sections and try to find your way to a specific field of a specific entry.
