I just came across this conference: http://www.cmsexpo.net/

It’s Joomla, Drupal, WordPress and Plone focused, but maybe we could pester the people there to take a look at Symphony and at least talk about it at the next conference.

Anyone familiar with the CMS Expo?

Not sure the ROI would be worth it, but something to keep in mind I suppose… I think we’d be better off getting on their radar as speakers for next year, rather than trying to crash the Joomla/Drupal/WP party.

I wasn’t suggesting crashing the party. :-) I noticed they didn’t even have a session on other CMS options other than the big 4. I think that’s a little short in scope. You’re right about attending as speakers. That would be the best option.

Thinking more about it, most of the people I’ve met at conferences like that are so behind-the-times that they aren’t really the right audience for Symphony. Things tend to be presented at a basic level. I want to get into more complex demos and discussions. Wish I could make it to a Symphony meet-up for that reason.

Don’t despair ;)
