Git could have the filemode
set to true
, which basically tracks when permissions are changed on files.
You can turn it off by nano .git/config
then changing the filemode
value from true
to false
(it’s under Core).

I just did a
git clone
of 2.1.0 and immediately afterward did agit status
. The status listed most of the files in `symphony’ as having been modified. I hadn’t touched the files. Why is a new clone showing modified files?
