Could you be a bit more descriptive. From what I've seen in the screenshot this looks more like a general localisation issue than an issue of the German translation.

• Which Symphony version are you using?
• When does the error occur?
• What did you expect to happen?

It's not that easy to guess all these things :)

• 2.1.2
• When an author or developer logs in if the language setting is German
• I expected to be able to see the site and the /symphony/ admin area

A peek into the future! :·) Tried this with Symphony CMS 2.3 Beta 1 looks quite good generally, but seems to break the authors page.

Symphony 2.3 introduces a lot of localisation related changes that will break essential parts of this translation (like handle generation). I'll hopefully find the time to update this in time for the final release.

If there are any volunteers that like to help with improving the German translation, just post here, please!

Was muss noch alles erledigt werden? Nur übersetzen?

Es gibt eine ganze Reihe von Sätzen, die im Englischen angepasst wurden, so dass viele Übersetzungen nicht mehr zugeordnet sind. In diesem Sinne also: ja, es muss übersetzt werden.

Ansonsten wäre es gut, wenn ein oder zwei die Übersetzung grundsätzlich gegenlesen, korrigieren und sprachlich verbessern. Symphony 2.3 führt neue, optionale Namensräume für Übersetzungen ein: wenn es also gewissen Wörter gibt, die in bestimmten Bereichen anders übersetzt werden müssen (zum Beispiel, weil unterschiedliche Fälle nötig sind), können wir dies nun ergänzen. Einige Übersetzungen können dadurch verbessert werden.

Anbei ein aktueller Export der deutschen Sprachdatei.

Auf Github steht jetzt eine vollständige Übersetzung zur Verfügung. Es wäre prima wenn jemand von Euch Korrektur lesen könnte (Rechtschreibung, Grammatik und Einheitlichkeit).

Wo bitte verwendet Symphony Begriffe wie "Haarig", "Pummelig", "Kalt", "Kokosnuss", "Frauen", "Kinder", "Piraten", "Schweine", "Hunde", "Katzen" und "Würmer" ? oO

Und ich glaube Wörter wie "Bugs" muss man nicht unbedingt mit "Käfer" eindeutschen.
