I'm attempting to create a page with the URL handler of "/error". However when browsing to this location I'm greeted with a 403 error.

I'm assuming that symphony uses this handle internally, is there a way I can reclaim this handler to build my custom page?

I cannot replicate this, I am able to create a page with the handle of error and view it at:

http://mysite.com/error

What version of Symphony are you using? Do you have any data sources attached to the page? Do you have any extensions installed that control access, such as the Members extension?

Hmm ok, I have double checked my .htaccess / vhosts configuration no mention of /error in there. I have no data sources attached to the page. The page itself just has a title of "Error" with the handle of "error", its parent is / (root) with no other parameters set.

Only extensions I have installed are:

  • XSS Filter
  • Debug DevKit
  • Maintenance Mode
  • Search Index (nice extension btw, so easy to use)
  • Text Formatter: Markdown
