Whilst not exactly on the topic of Symphony, this is the first in a series of Screencast's I have started recording. I will eventually go on to discuss Symphony, but I thought I would start at the beginning, which is choosing between MAMP, or going with the default Apache/OSX setup.

I then go on to talk about getting Parallels to work nicely with the Mac setup. This is a good starting point for anyone just setting out with Symphony, I hope the rest of you get something from it too.

Nice Fazal! Thanks for pulling that together. That will be a huge help to a lot of folks!

Thanks for the mention of VirtualHostX, that's a nice little tool.

Thanks guys. My next tutorial will be on doing SVN, SSH the easy way on a mac.

Fazal, this is sweet. Some day I may give MAMP the boot and this gives me the motivation ;-)

I still don't understand how to get SVN to work, so that would help me out a lot. Thanks!
