Thanks for the feedback. I've already been working on this as it annoyed me too. I'll be back home in a week, in the meantime I'll think about how best tackle the issue.

There were some issues with GitHub OAuth login for xpathr.com. Thank you, Andrew, for reporting the issue. It seems, I was able to fix the issue with a little help from Google.

There was an issue that prevented the username from being saved when creating a new Gist because of changes in the GitHub Gist API. This had the effect of preventing gists from being updated by a user. This pull request fixed the issue.
