Hey guys.

So, I just won a project building up a website which sells courses.

The client wants customers to be able to have their own user profiles to view orders etc, so i thought i could do this with members and creating an event when the user purchases an item, tying it in with the shopping cart extension.

I was wondering if anybody here has tried a product Inventory solution in Symphony...as this is the only thing holding me back at the moment.

Hi Olly,

What kind of thing do you mean when you say inventory solution? Like a product catalogue?

Little more detail about the structure would be good.

I've created a fairly simple product ordering system using the shopping cart extension. I think this may be the most recent version of the extension.

It doesn't involve any online payment as the company wished to put orders received through their usual invoicing process.

So definitely possible, but I wouldn't recommend it until you're reasonably familiar with Symphony basics.
