Before I blow an evening building an extension to setup the ACE Editor in Symphony's backend for XSL editing, has anyone done this already?

Something that is dearly missed in 2.3 is a code highlighter.. current one hides all code when enabled.

That's the one that was breaking page xsl for me Jens.

It may have been fixed but I didn't have time to test any bug related issues, I just disabled it and carried on without for time being.

If you implement it for XSL editing (which would be very cool), how hard would it be to extend the implementation to also apply to textarea/Markdown fields for content editors? Similar to how Ace is used on dillinger.io. That would be truly hawt.

  • PHP's LibXML module, with the XSLT extension enabled (--with-xsl)
