Now you just have to start porting Subsection Manager :)

I think the only downside (I can't believe I'm saying this), is that you can't select which type of view (if more were provided) to use for each field.

That would be where a preferences section would be needed in an extension.

At least there is visualisation in the core now though eh? ;o)

Thinking of a SSM like UI: the extension would just have to hook into the SBL field preferences and add additional settings (enable UI for parent entries / enable UI for child entries). Could be called something like "Subsection UI".

Sorry, just to clarify, setting association_maximum_rows to 0 will deactivate the feature, essentially as if the Associations concept never existed.
