Concepts Discussed:
Data Source Filters, Field Types, Fields, and Pages

Step 2. Build your Section

We need to build a section to contain our “store” information such as Name, Address, Postcode and most importantly, Location (Map Location Field).

Create a new section (Blueprints > Sections) called Stores and add Text Input fields labelled Name and Address. Adjust validation rules to taste.

Then add a Map Location Field and name is Location. Change the Placement dropdown to Sidebar. You will see two extra options for this field:

Default Marker Location is the default location that the marker will be placed when you create a new entry. This value can be as broad as an entire continent or country e.g. United Kingdom or as specific as an address or postcode e.g. Buckingham Palace, London or WD3 1HH. Leave this value blank for now, so the default of London, England will be added for you.

Default Zoom Level is the default level of zoom for the map when you create a new entry. The value should be a number between 1 (world-view) or 15 (building/street level). Again, leave this blank and the default of 3 will be used.

Click the Create Section button and you’re done.
