but now to your problem, maybe the database is not utf-8 ?

@moma db is utf-8.

two tables are not: innodb latin_1 swedish.

and use use innodb an myIsam. dont know wheter myIsam is supported.

I would check that all your files have transferred completely. Potentially you've got a file that's only partially been uploaded.

MyISAM is supported, but I have a feeling that's not the issue.

I uploaded a clean symphony install now just for testing. Now I get a different error. Is it something to do with subdomain. I uploaded the files t subdomain. Do I need to change anything in .htaccess file?

It's working now, when I moved the site to a directory instead of a subdomain. Also I used ftp instead of scp.

Hm, weird, but I'm glad you got it working in the end :) How are you finding Foundation?

@brendo. I use foundation only for layout, saves lot of time. Responsive Designs and Images are bonuses. Yes I like it.
