I have an XML with combination of English and Russian text. I am able to view English text properly in PDF. But Russian text is displayed as ####. What can be the solution for this?

Most likely an encoding issue when converting the XML to PDF; if you could provide more information on extensions being used we might be in a position to help

For HTML it is working fine. Only in PDF i am getting this issue. I have used same XML file for both HTML and PDF

Could you provide which extension/fork you are using to convert the HTML to PDF? Most likely the issue is caused during this final conversion step; possibly not bundling or supporting Cyrillic characters hence your issue.

I am using following namespaces in my xsl FO file

http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Format http://xml.apache.org/fop/extensions http://xml.apache.org/fop/extensions

If you don't ask the questions to provide more details, nobody will be able to help you. @gunglien asked you how you achieve the XML to PDF conversion. Is it "inside" Symphony? Do you use an extension to do it?
