I'm trying to create a data source that returns three entries but does not include the current entry the user is looking at.

I was looking around to find a similar solution, but nothing had any mention of excluding the current entry. It's pretty simple to return three entries in a data source, but is there some sort of filter I can apply to exclude the current entry? I have the system id available to me so that should be all I would need to filter against.

You should have a datasource with limit of 3 entries and a filter on system-id for not: {$your-entry-id-param}

ah, thanks pat. I'll give that a go. I figured something like that had to of come up on symphony by now.

Yeah, unfortunately, many things are not documented well.. The forum search doesn't work well, so I always use Google with site:getsymphony.com to search for past discussions.

You'll be glad to know the new docs are under construction!
