Hi,

I am trying to create a simple contact form for a site.

This is what I did

  1. created a section called 'contact' with one filed (name) for the sake of testing.
  2. Added a new event called 'contact' with event filter 'send notification email'
  3. created a new page called 'contact' and attached events 'contact' with it.
  4. placed 'form html tags' in contact page template.

Form Tags placed in contact http://paste.laravel.com/1bio

I am not getting emails, however information is saved in the database. What could be wrong.

thanks, noussh

I don#t believe that your server would tranport email from:

in oder to prevent spamming. take at look at the logfiles from your email server.

a test of your email configuration could be nice also.

btw. sender equals recipient maybe would be not transported anyhow by mayor emailservers defaults.

and as a tip: use the great email-template manager.

ps: to parse event errors and style up optional/requiered and wrong field in formfields at a simple feedbackform (input text/textarea), I use something like this.

Thanks @moma,

I had to change email settings to SMTP in preferences. Yes I used Email Template Manager.
