Symphony.

When setting the date field prepopulated with 'today' i get '04/25/2014 12:00 am' on all newly created entries, so the time is always set to '12:00'.
I am using symphony 2.4 RC1. Am i right that in previous versions, current time is set as well? Or do i need to use another default?
Or.., could this be a bug in 2.4 RC1?

Change your field settings to now to change the behaviour. Sounds like a bug to me.

now is working! So i don't think it's a bug, but maybe this should be the default instead of today?
