Symphony.

Hi everyone,

I'm using 2.4 and just followed the "Say hello world" tutorial. I'm stuck at the point where one is supposed to manipulate the xslt template for showing the page.

In the pages list the template's name shows but without the link to click on. Also in the debug view of the page the template is not editable.

Anybody know what's causing this?

if i remember correctly 2.4 removed the editor from the backend. you can install one via extensions e.g. http://symphonyextensions.com/extensions/code_editor/ or simply edit the respective files locally or on your server via ftp.

Edit: i think you might have to install workspace manager to access the files for the code editor to work http://symphonyextensions.com/extensions/workspace_manager/ :P

Yeah, sorry for that. Looks like we haven't updated the tutorials yet.

I couldn't get it to work, editing via the interface, by installing the workspace manager and the code editor extensions either, but that's ok, now that I know I'll just edit the files directly.

Sometime I will make another editor extension that reinstates the ability to access XSLT templates the old way. I have a non-editor extension to finish writing first though.

Change of name to Filebrowser was due to class with @Iwygs Filemanager extension we are using.

Combined with Emmet Codemirror branch here: https://github.com/orchard-studio/codemirror/tree/emmet, and editing in the backend is re-instated for when you need it.

Some styling things to clean up with Filebrowser but it works for us :)
