I had an hard time with this problem Finally @gunglien points me to a solution.

The solution is quiet straight forward: if there is no url parameter value than don't do it. So logical, because an url parameter is always optional

I think this will be a good idea to have in the core that a filter with an url parameter only execute when there is a value.
