i am having a scenario where the image should be a bit manipulated (resize, rotate, replace) until is uploaded;

that's pretty much like facebook play with cover/profile photos

to make an ideea, i am using quillotine to to the frontend manipulation, but after i don't really know where to start with JIT

There is an abandoned extension that might help. Not sure what’s needed to make it work in 2.4+

@cotiunix have something which works with an S3 bucket upload... It could be eventually modified. It also requires minor tinkering with JIT.

You could have a look at it for a basic idea of what you can do. Also importantly JIT is going through some changes to allow extensions to set their own cropping mechanisms, but I don't think it's released yet nor is anyone using it as far as I know. But you might want to look at integration.

I think we've got Image Cropper and an altered version of JIT working in a 2.6 build in work, I'll need to check what state it's in, but if they guys are using it, I'll post link to the git repo.
