Hello there,

I've just installed the new beta version of Symphony 2 and I'm impressed, but I have a little problem.

When I publish new article in Bulgarian language everything is transformed to "?????????" question marks.

Is there any way to use URLs like this: "www.domain.com/здравей-симфони" - it means hello Symphony :)

Or I have to use only Latin characters for URLs and Titles. Here is example page: http://seo.goaddsite.com/archive/

Thanks :)

Hi there - there has been some discussion about UTF-8 issues and storing entries in Symphony 2 in the "bug tracker". You can check out the entries in this thread and see if that matches your experience.

It's hard to know if this is a Symphony issue, or mySQL, or even PHP! :/

FWIW! David.

Thanks I'll take a look ;)

Здрасти :)

Also check out ---/symphony/lib/lang/lang.en.php.

Хах :)

Здравей,

Какво трябва да се промени там.

P.S. Sorry that I'm writing in Bulgaria, but I think that me and Ubu can solve the problem easily.

Еми трябва да добавиш нещо такова за всяка кирилса буква ( и големи и малки букви )

'ю' => 'yu', 'я' => 'ya', 'Ю' => 'YU', 'Я' => 'YA'

И така... :)

Beta version of Symphony doesn't work for me but in v1.7 it was easy to use transliteration table from Textpattern for Russian language - you can do the same for Bulgarian, I believe.
