I have several clients who are asking for me to display articles on their site by an author field, but organized alphabetically by last name. The author field is just one field with first and last typed into it. Is there a way to make the system display alphabetically by last name without splitting these assets up into 2 fields (first name and last name)? I tried searching but didn’t find anything.

The only options are:

1. Custom DS that splits the Name Field’s value and sorts by last name
2. Create 2 fields (first name and last name)

For #2, you could consider using the reflection field which allows you to combine 2 fields to one.
