Symphony.

Just a question: In 1.7 I could select which sections could be seen and edited by an author. Will this feature be sourced out to an extension or has it been canceled?

We've decided that author control is best dealt as an extension since there are quite a good variety of different types of control methods depending on what Symphony is used for. Rather than creating a system that meets a bit of everyone's needs and no one is really satisfied we decided the extension road is a better path.

That's fine. I'm just checking what is in there and what is not :)

So with a new extension it could be possible to assign certain authors the ability to edit certain pages (as opposed to publishing articles) too? I hardly know where to start with these extensions...
