I have to say that recently I have been seriously contemplating moving to EE, Joomla or Wordpress. Why? Because of business opportunities. Freelance contracts often require EE, Joomla or Wordpress, but none have any requirements for Symphony. But...

I am still very happy to use Symphony, and the S2 is really starting to grip me, I just hope that its reputation spreads to the freelance market.

Mucho money to be made.

Just my two cents,

I think there is a lot of potential in Symphony to be able to integrate a broader array of site applications than Wordpress anyway. I know Joomla has alot of options because the community is huge. From my vantage point, Symphony will really hit it's stride when folks like Bauhause start producing full-fledged apps (as he is doing) in symphony, and the ease of integrating these apps with the rest of your site makes them very atttrcitive commercially viable alternatives to systems like Joomla.

Of course it always makes sense to keep growing that skill set/resume/portfolio.

Well I would rather be a master of one tool, rather than a jack of all trades.
