I cannot even get Symphony to install on WampServer 2.0. It fails consistently with a problem with PEAR. PEAR is installed correctly and available. Anyone who has dealt with this problem, please help. I’m new to this kind of problem.

Fatal error: require_once()
[function.require]: Failed opening
required
'symphony/lib/toolkit/class.lang.php'
(include_path='.;C:wampbinphpphp5.2.9-2')
in C:wampwwwinstall.php on line 26

I don’t see anything related to PEAR in the message you’ve got. It would be strange anyway because Symphony doesn’t use PEAR.

Can you give us more details on your setup?

Yep, the error seems path related. Are you running this under Windows?

include_path=’.;C:wampbinphpphp5.2.9-2

Shouldn’t that have some slashes in it somewhere?

nickdunn: Yeah, but the forum-editor tends to swallow fancy characters or XML-elements. Maybe they’re there but we can’t see them. :-)
