The following works fine when embedded in a textarea field…

<object height="100" width="725">
  <param name="movie" value="http://www.sparklegram.com/swf/SparkleDisplay.swf" />
  <param name="wmode" value="transparent" />
  <param name="flashvars" value="Message=77777777776D9AAEBFB86D8EB9B9B2BB6D9BB2B6B96D7777777777&Color=0&Mode=90" />
<embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="http://www.sparklegram.com/swf/SparkleDisplay.swf" height="100" width="725" wmode="transparent" flashvars="Message=A1B5B6C06DB6C06DAE6DA0BDAEBFB8B9B294BFAEBA6E&Color=0&Mode=90" />
</object>

… but throws an error “loadXML(): EntityRef: expecting ‘;’ in Entity, line: xx” when simply bracketed by <div> and </div>.

Ideas anyone?

@markallenneil - did you have a question? your post showed up blank.

I’m reworking it… there was text but nothing printed… tried to create a code block.

Now it’s actually embedded the swf… again not what I wanted…

Yay, that’s better. Kind of amazing that I can actually embedded a Sparklegram on the forum.

The ampersands in the URLs render the XML invalid. Changing the & to &amp; in the code above should suppress the error.

@nickdunn - Well that did the trick, no errors now. Thanks much.

Yet somehow no error when not inside a DIV… and no XML errors either. Clearly works as one can see above (when not in a DIV). Any ideas as to why?
