Hi,

I’m evaluating Symphony … well trying to but trying to ge tin to the admin section has so far not been possible. Got everything installed and running OK … but when it asks for my username and password to login, no matter what I type it always rejects it. Have uninstalled and re-installed several times and been very careful that usernames and passwords are correct. Scanned the forum but couldn’t find anything similar … anyone come across this before or have an idea where I can look (nothing in logs). Running with Apache2, mySQL 5, pho 5.2 on centos 5

Thanks

Damien

Not to worry … got it working. Issue was the apostrophe in my last name. When I changed it on the personal details section of the setup form to not have an apostrophe it worked as it should. This was common five or more years ago … very rare to come across it now days as most sites handle it apostrophes in databases correctly. Unless of course you’re deliberately discriminating against the Scots and Irish? :-)

This sounds like a bug you should report. Maybe something is wrong with database encoding? You can find Symphony’s bug tracker on GitHub.
