After installing symphony, and being able to look around at the default settings for a short while, I started getting 403 Forbidden on every single page. I’m using media temple (gs) hosting, if that’s any help.

Did you check permissions?

I was wading through some of my old forum posts (end of year retrospection and all that) and I found I had a similar issue, and had a solution:

My host is apparently filtering POSTs now, and was blocking any of the form submissions. I added this to my htaccess:

SecFilterEngine Off SecFilterScanPOST Off

As an aside, searching the forum for ‘403’, which I would have expected to bring up my old post & solution, gives no result. That doesn’t seem optimal…
