I’ve just started to work with symphony, and I’ve been thinking of creating some kind of client area either coding it from scratch or creating an ensemble that people could just download and run themselves. I’ve been looking for something like Basecamp to run on my own server, but havn’t been pleased with what I’ve found. So I thought maybe make one.

Does it sound viable to create something similar but simpler than Basecamp in symphony?

Any opinions or insights into this would be much appreciated.

I’ve had something similar in mind.

It was more like a forum, combined with a tasks- and project-tracker. For version 2 I was thinking about git-integration (a certain hashtag in commit messages would close tasks). I wanted to take inspiration from BusyLissy, taking things I liked and improving the ones I didn’t. :-)

A client ticketing area was planned as well, but at a very late point in development. I would very much be interested in helping to create such an ensemble!
