I came across this just now and thought it might be a useful resource for much of the back-and-forth code snippeting and patching and whatnot that happens on this forum and in the IRC channel. It's essentially a pastie service launched by github that has the added benefits of versioning, offline editing, forking, etc.

This is certainly the right place to post this. Multiple files and forking make this service well-suited to XML+XSLT+HTML snippets.

Incidentally, I had been working on a text formatter called Gist.
