I cannot install using the latest zip package available on this site.

The package is an invalid or corrupt archive.

Nvmd. I finally got everything going using the github source.

I just downloaded and installed the version from the site. You should try either redownloading it or using another Zip program.

Also, if memory serves, the GitHub version doesn’t have a workspace folder or any of the extensions (just empty folders).

@dougoftheabaci: when pulling from git, you need to run:

git submodule update --init

for git to pull all the associated extensions.

If you also want the workspace, you need to clone the workspace repository as they are separately managed (and that workspace is entirely optional).

The Symphony README and the installation tutorial should have more about this.
