I have two sections on my site -- news and person. News has a dynamic selection box that allows for the selection of zero, one, or many people's names.

When I display a news article, I only get the names records in the returned XML. Is there a way to get their full record?

You can create a datasource pulling from 'person' that filters by the select-box field contents of your 'news' section. Of course, you might need to accommodate for duplicated names in your 'person' section. There is a 'unique filed value' extension that might help with this.

Alternatively, I think you could use section links, but they aren't the most user-friendly in their rev5 incarnation.
