A new extension, “Backend add script” is now available for download. Comments and feedback can be left here but if you discover any issues, please post it on the issue tracker.

Backend add script updated to version 1.1 on 17th of August 2010

This looks really useful! But the extension name didn’t make much sense to me.

Well it’s just a wrapper to add some javascript to the backend (hence the name backend add script). It’s quite simple, but can come in handy sometimes, if you only want to inject a little javascript/jQuery sometimes.

I’ve used it for some of my clients to hide certain fields on publish pages of some sections. I also used it for a banner manager where one field is the type of the banner, and according to which type is chosen certain fields where hide or shown.

An error occurred in /…/extensions/backend_add_script/extension.driver.php around line 51

Works fine if I comment out lines 51 and 52. Would be nice to have for Symphony 2.4+ too :)
