I’m doing a website for a holiday house rental service using symphony. Is there a booking system plug-in availible or something like this?

Not really, no. Symphony doesn’t really have any pre built modules for broad functionality like this but instead provides the tools for you to build it exactly to your requirements. It sounds like you will want a single Section “Bookings” which stores a start and end date of the booking. You can then display this on a calendar on the frontend of your site using XSLT.

There is a WOW booking system, but it’s not a Symphony extension.
