Hello symphonists,

Here is my problem: I installed Symphony for the first time a few minutes ago and probably did something wrong, but don’t know what.

I followed the installation tutorial and it all seems ok, the symphony page with default template and default content works great, but when I try to access the admin area (http://localhost/mysymphonyppp/symphony) the only thing I see is a list of directories, no admin interface! is that normal??

I think I’m doing something wrong during the installation process, but can’t figure out what, despite the steps being so simple and the absence of error messages lol

It seems like your server is missing mod_rewrite. Head over to install.php?info and check if it’s actually there.

Yep, you’re right, modrewrite was not activated. I’ve just activated it and restarted Apache, now I can see modrewrite listed on install?info.

Just to be sure, I installed symphony again but still get the same problem, really can’t figure out what’s wrong… humm.

While the mod_rewrite module might be loaded now, you’ll also have to enable it for the vhost by setting “AllowOverride All” in your httpd.conf.

Running smooth! I’m very exited to try this CMS out (heard only good things about it).

Thanks a lot man.
