I have google syntax highlighter installed and working... I can put php in my articles and have the highlighter find the code. the problem is when i try to make xslt code examples in artcles. if i leave all the text formaters off and no character encoding in the data source i get an symphony error cause its trying to parse the tags. On the other hand if i use a formater when setting up the section or character encode the data source then it also encodes the needed <pre> tags to highlight the code. is there something im missing here?

Really? no one..?

Have you tried using Markdown's code syntax (simply indenting the code synippets)?

Im not sure what you mean indenting the code? After you saied to use markdown i found this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Markdown Escaping the code with works but i dont get indenting or line breaks anything im doing wrong here?

Thanks for the tip by the way!

i found the answer here http://daringfireball.net/projects/markdown/syntax#precode
