Hi all,

I'm trying to think of a way to delete an uploaded file from the front end. I don't think there's a direct way to do that, or am I missing something?

What I'm trying to do is create a very simple frontend management for user-uploaded files.

Any input is greatly appreciated :)

Thanks for your time!

this is actually not possible due to the insecure nature of events. one common suggestion is to add a 'deleted' or 'published' checkbox to your entries and have the datasource check against it before pulling the section.

Thanks for your response.

The only problem I can see with the approach you propose is that if I wanted to upload something else to replace the deleted file, I would need another file upload field in the appropriate section, which cannot be added on the fly.

Actually, I think I got it. By simply editing the same section and uploading a new file using the same upload field you can just replace the file that was uploaded previously.
