Hello all Is there a guide / tutorial to start using the entry manager class ? I really need a simple method to write / update sections inside the events.

Nope, these are "under the hood" classes which only a few people have used for custom extensions. The class API is documented for a start, and you could go into the Symphony core to see how this is achieved.

Alternatively you could try SymQuery which provides a neater wrapper on top of the EntryManager class. Not sure if it's actively supported, but worth a shot.
