Does this offer anything different to the Unique Text Input field extension?

Nick is referring to the fact that we've begun to see duplicate extensions all over the place, presumably because developers aren't checking first to see whether their idea's already been implemented.

I haven't looked at your code, but one mistake was building something that's already been built ;)
