I tried it but i'm inadequate! Could somebody with super powers try to please come up with an extension that would incorporate the jQuery File Tree into a field.

It would be very useful to just get the link of an alredy-uploaded-via-ftp file to a field instead of writing it down.

Does that make sense?

Good suggestion, I second the call for a Symphony extension wizard to cook this one up!
