@wtdtan: That's not the problem I described. I know that entries are not created, but the table for the field is not created in some cases.

@wtdtan: i have encountered the same. when i create a section all queries are logged to the cdi.sql except the insert for sym_sections. but since this was working for me before i tried disabling recently added extensions. and it turns out its most likely limit_section_entries because if i uninstall that extension its working again.

anyone have an idea what could blog the section creation logging?

The limit_section_entries extension seems to alter the sym_sections table :https://github.com/vlad-ghita/limitsectionentries/blob/master/extension.driver.php#L59 on install. So maybe there is a conflict there when it adds extra field to the table in the database and maybe CDI isn't accounting for this.
