There is no need to modify your .htaccess
. Simply put in your robots.txt
and everything should be fine as the mod_rewrite
rules will respect existing files.
What do you mean with 'enabled': can't you access the file?
It seems to work fine with my default .htaccess
Just add a robots.txt
file to the root of your site, no?
edit: yeah, what Nils said ;)
Nils, David, thanks for the fast reply, i have a slightly modified .htaccess for my language parameter (no region). http://www.hotelbooking.st/ http://www.hotelbooking.st/robots.txt
Please find my htaccess attached. Thanks
Hmm, maybe the simplest solution would be to duplicate the ### DO NOT APPLY RULES WHEN REQUESTING "favicon.ico"
rules for .robots.txt
?
