Does an extension exist that behaves similar to the Subsection Manager but where multiple items are limited to a specified number. I know this can be done using a DS but would ideally like this to exist in the backend UI.

One other thing, the chosen subsection includes a tag field, which SSM picks up for filtering. I wonder if it's possible for it to filter on other fields?

e.g. My "article" section has fields which include "publish" and "category". I'd like SSM to filter on published and category. Then when the user is adding items, to limit the number added to five.

I'm not asking much am I!?!

Maybe Nils new and improve sub section manager offers this.
